This year has given all of us a lot to think about. It’s changed the way we work, learn, socialise and even how we grieve. As recently as last year, the Generation Funerals team had the privilege of attending the Seniors Expo, live and in person. It may be some time before events like that are commonplace again but we’re looking forward to that day as we look back at our last attendance.
Our booth offered visitors a chance to meet with our representatives and discuss topics like funeral pre-planning, grieving and the industry in general while in a relaxed, informal setting. From our spot right near the door, we offered a glimpse of some of our funeral-related products and literature on some of the options currently available for funeral services.
To encourage those who might have been interested but a bit shy, we held a draw for a $25 and a $50 Caltex gift card along with a Conversation Starter card pack. While many see the funeral industry as somewhat morbid or at the very least, unentertaining, our friendly and knowledgeable team made great strides. By our attendance, we helped spread our message of personalised, meaningful send offs that honour the departed and give hope to those left to grieve.
Most upcoming events appear to have gone virtual for the foreseeable future but we look forward to exploring new ways of connecting with our community and sharing our passion. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the industry or what’s possible right now.
