Australian Funeral Directors Association

Formed in 1935, Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA) is the only national funeral service organisation with Member firms in every State and Territory. AFDA Member firms are chosen by more than 60% of families to provide funeral arrangements for their loved ones. AFDA is widely recognised as the authoritative voice on all funeral matters and its key objective is to optimise the funeral experience and ensure quality delivery of service to the wider community by enhancing and promoting professional funeral standards.

AFDA Members and the AFDA Trademark represent security, care and professional service. AFDA Members are bound by a strict Code of Professional Conduct designed to meet both community needs and expectations in all aspects of service delivery. The Code is a reassurance to the community of sincere care and professional service, particularly at a time of uncertainty and distress for grieving families and relatives.

Queensland Justices Association (QJA) is the peak industry body that represents Justices of the Peace and Commissioners for Declarations throughout Queensland, Australia. Founded in 1918, the QJA has a long history of providing professional support to its members. It is the largest organisation supporting Honorary Justices in Australia, a major representative body in its field and the Queensland representative on the Australian Council of Justices Association. Post A Poppy is a community website with the purpose of commemorating and honouring the service and sacrifice of Australian servicemen and women in all wars and peacekeeping operations. By remembering them by posting a poppy or through stories, letters, images and video we can ensure their memory will never be lost.

We encourage everyone to post a poppy or share their stories and memories, which will help continue to educate our community about the impact that War has on so many soldiers, their families, their friends and the nation.

Post A Poppy has been established in 2015 to mark the centenary of the landing on Gallipoli and we hope it is around for generations to come so the sacrifices will never be forgotten.
