Youngest brother Len in Geelong , Victoria writes..... Childhood memories of big sister Jean guiding and teaching us different things are much valued. Feretting for rabbits through the bush was always enjoyed, fishing in the dark at Yarra Glen trying to catch fish from the Yarra River was great but there are no memories of catching too many fish. I remember Jean traded her 1952 Vauxhall for an FJ Holden ute about the time I attended high school and was really impressed with her choice. With seven of us children, as time has passed and we have gone our seperate ways with our lives with some distance between us. We have kept in touch with phone calls and cards for special occasions but distance has prevented us from getting together often. The odd photo of Jeans place at Arthur's Creek stirs up memories. Jeans life at Tansy enabled her to enjoy her garden and other interests and the peace and quiet of the country side that she loved . Myself, wife Heather, daughters Kelli and Vicki (her nieces) my son-in-law Philip, granddaughter Chloe (her great niece) say "Thanks for the memories and rest in peace Jean, along with Mum and those who have gone before you."

In memory of our Aunty Jean, I have fond memories of school holidays at your various properties at Goorambat and Arthurs Creek Victoria , with my Dad your brother Charles (Deceased 04/06/2022 ) learning how to drive, fix fences. looking after sheep, caring for and riding horses, sleeping in the barn listening to mice with chains (in joke with our other cusions). Hope you are able to catch up with Dad and your brother George (deceased) and have a bit of a laugh. Sorry we can't be there to help share our memorires. Condolences to Uncle Bob, Aunty Dot, Uncle Len and Aunty Juy and respective Families. Phill Spicer
