My cousin Ray had a very special place in my heart. Over the last months, I have been blessed to have had a few phone calls with Ray. He would phone me to say he was thinking of me and I would phone him and enjoy long chats and share family news and our shared memories. My daughter, Karen and her husband Glenn, took Agriculture students from Victory College at Gympie, to Nanango Show Ground for students to show and judge cattle. I phoned Ray and told him about this and he said he would go to the Showground and meet up with Karen. He did this and asked around until he found her. They had a good talk together. Karen told me later how much her time talking to Ray and hearing his story, meant to her. I have fond memories of Ray and his brothers and parents over the years, when my parents would visit the family and at times, stay at their home. I send my love and heartfelt sympathy to all of Ray's family at his passing. May God surround each of you with His love at this time and fill your hearts with peace, comfort and strength.
